DCEO Award Single Family Development of the Year | The Grove Frisco

14 November . 2018

The Grove Frisco wins Development of the Year award from D CEO

The Grove Frisco has won the Single-Family Development of the Year award in D CEO’s 2018 Residential Real Estate Awards.

“In one of the hottest residential markets in the country, these North Texas communities and developers rise above their peers…as the most compelling new communities,” D CEO writes. “Nothing says ‘putting down roots’ more than buying a new home, and Newland Communities takes that concept to the next level at The Grove Frisco.”

It was the second major award won by The Grove Frisco and Newland Communities in the past two years. In 2017, D Magazine named Newland as Single-Family Developer of the Year in its North Texas Residential Real Estate Awards.

For the latest award, D CEO judges lauded The Grove Frisco’s amenities, location, and variety of homebuilders and price ranges.

“Located a mile away from the ‘four corners’ area where the boundaries of Frisco, Allen, Plano and McKinney intersect, the 735-acre development opened this past summer. It features Orchard House, an amenity hub, nearly five miles of nature trails, and homes from four area builders: American Legend, Drees Custom Homes, Highland

Homes, and Southgate Homes. Prices range from the mid $400,000s to the high $800,000s.”

D CEO also noted how Newland uses data and research to create communities designed around the way families live today, and to provide amenities they want most.

“Amenities have evolved, and today it’s all about having parks and open spaces where residents can make meaningful connections to nature and each other,” said Brian Cramer, senior vice president of Newland’s Dallas division, in the D CEO article. “Once upon a time, trails were nice to have. Today, they’re No. 1 on the list of amenities that homebuyers want.”

The Grove Frisco is one of three major communities Newland is developing in North Texas, along with Hollyhock in Frisco and Canyon Falls in Flower Mound.

The Grove Frisco also recently received a Gold award for its “Vision” series of videos from the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts’ W3 awards.
