Four corners, 4 Oktoberfests to enjoy near The Grove Frisco

An onslaught of Oktoberfests is one of many wunderbar things about The Grove Frisco’s Four Corners location, where our hometown of Frisco comes together with the boundaries of Allen, McKinney and Plano.

To fit in all the uber fun, Oktoberfest starts in September and runs through mid-October around The Grove Frisco.

We’re having our own resident Oktoberfest celebration in September – it’s one of many festive events that make The Grove Frisco such a fun and neighborly place to live.

Open to everyone, the following public Oktoberfest events will give you plenty of chances to raise your stein and dance along with Oom-Pah bands. Most are free but some require admission; please see details at the links.

September 16 – Allen Oktoberfest

The Brass Tap Craft Beer Bar in Allen will host an Oktoberfest Bash on Saturday, Sept.  16 from 5 p.m. until midnight, with a smorgasbord of German beers on tap and in bottles, a Stein Holding Contest, German Costume Contest and more.

September 22-24 – McKinney Oktoberfest

The longest weekend of German fun in North Texas is McKinney’s Oktoberfest, taking place Friday, Sept. 22 through Sunday, Sept. 24. McKinney’s historic downtown transforms into an Alpine wonderland with authentic German food, local and imported beer, live music and much more. The Arts and Crafts Marktplatz has traditional handmade crafts. Contests include Weenie Dog Races, Bier Stein Races, a Marionette Drinking Game and Brat Eating Contest. There’ll be lots of fun for kids, including a Kinder Korner and carnival.

September 25 – Plano Oktoberfeast

Plano’s fourth annual Oktoberfeast at Legacy Hall has that extra “a” because this historic food hall is home to more than 20 restaurants. Live bands including Jodie Mikula Orchestra and Czech And Then Some will bring all the polka, pop and chicken dance music you expect at Oktoberfest. Brats, pretzels, souvenir beer steins and a stein hoisting contest add to the festivities.

October 7 – Frisco Oktoberfest

The fourth annual Frisco Oktoberfest takes place Saturday, Oct. 7 at The Star in Frisco, the dynamic shopping, dining and entertainment destination that’s best known as home to the Dallas Cowboys. There’ll be live entertainment on two stages in the Biergarten, with games including a Bier Stein Hoisting Competition, Keg Rolling Races and Dachshund Dash. Eight breweries will have beer on tap along with Oktoberfest favorites likes brats and pretzels.
