The "Central Park" of Frisco: What the New 1,000-Acre Grand Park Means for Our Residents

There’s reason national publications keep naming Frisco one of the absolute best places to live in America: it’s a city that refuses to compromise on nature and quality of life.

If you need proof, look no further than a truly historic milestone. Frisco has officially broken ground on Grand Park, a world-class urban oasis designed to welcome residents and visitors to a space that invites all ages and abilities to play, explore, discover, and connect.

When complete, Grand Park will span 1,011 acres from the Dallas North Tollway all the way west to Lake Lewisville and FM423. While originally planned as a 300-acre site, the park has expanded to over 1,000 acres of varying terrain, including almost 8 miles of natural creek. Widely anticipated as "The Central Park of Frisco," this grand green space will actually dwarf New York City’s iconic Central Park by nearly 200 acres!

Unlike any other park in the area, Grand Park is a specially curated mix of traditional park elements, beautiful community gathering spots, and new developments that perfectly balance out the urban oasis. For residents of The Grove Frisco, this unprecedented park system is a massive extension of your own backyard.

The Vision: Active Play, Respite & Discovery

The city is committed to making the experience truly GRAND, delivering a destination designed for ultimate fitness, wellness, and creativity:

  • Arrowhead Pond & Water Fun: A beautiful lake featuring activated water for public kayaking and paddleboarding.
  • The Performance Amphitheater: A state-of-the-art outdoor venue with a sweeping event lawn for live music and community festivals.
  • Active & Passive Play: Wetland-themed playgrounds, climbing structures, a skate park, sand volleyball, and premium pickleball courts balanced by peaceful spaces for respite.
  • Unbroken Trail Systems: Opportunities throughout the park to explore nature, seamlessly wrapping into North Texas' regional biking and hiking paths.

Plant Your Roots Before the Park Opens

When a city commits to quality-of-life projects on an international scale, neighboring property values benefit significantly. There has never been a better time to transition from dreaming about the perfect neighborhood to experiencing it firsthand.
