Newland-Brookfield wins Developer of the Year from Dallas Builders Association
The Grove Frisco’s developer, Newland-Brookfield, won the 2021 Developer of the Year award from the Dallas Builders Association at its annual McSam Awards celebration in late July.
The award recognized the sales success of The Grove Frisco and its sister Metroplex communities, Canyon Falls and Hollyhock, along with the innovations Newland-Brookfield introduced during the pandemic year of 2020.
A total of 864 families purchased new homes in The Grove Frisco, Canyon Falls and Hollyhock in 2020. More than 300 families chose new homes in The Grove Frisco, for a 128 percent increase over the prior year.
The judges recognized how The Grove Frisco’s lifestyle speaks to the desires of homebuyers to find a community where they can be surrounded by nature and enjoy room to spread out.
In addition to our flagship amenity, Orchard House, The Grove Frisco has miles of trails, playgrounds, neighborhoods parks, a soccer field and a dog park.
The Dallas Builders Association also noted how The Grove Frisco adapted our popular lifestyle events in 2020 to help keep residents safe yet socially connected during the pandemic. Our Lifestyle Director planned 32 virtual and 42 in-person events during 2020, including Celebration Stations where residents could pick up treats such as Fall boxes and Back-to-School coffee and donuts. There were mobile parades for graduation, Cinco de Mayo and other celebrations, along with Zoom events such as a virtual wine tasting.
Similarly, we worked closely with our homebuilders to introduce enhanced safe shopping tools for homebuyers, including live chat and virtual tours.
Giving back is another strength for The Grove Frisco. One of our major programs, Grove Gives, won first place for Best Virtual Special Event/Realtor Promotion at the McSam Awards.
As a centerpiece of our partnership with real estate agents, Grove Gives benefits 10 worthy nonprofit organizations in North Texas. For each new home sold, The Grove Frisco donates $100 to a charity chosen by the participating real estate agent.
